Wholesome, plant-based vegan food
Hi, I am Rita Serano and this blog is all about tasty, healthy plant-based vegan food. My biggest inspiration for my recipes are seasonal and organic produce. I love cooking with vegetables, grains, fruits, beans, seeds, herbs and spices. My style of cooking is all about flavour, colour and fun. All my recipes are vegan, refined sugar free and low fat. During my life I have been experimenting with all kinds of diets and cooking techniques, think: rawfood, vegan, macrobiotic, vegetarian, glutenfree, high starch/ low fat, etc. All these different styles have made me the cook that I am today. I am Dutch and live partly in the Netherlands and France. I hope you and your family will enjoy my food and recipes!!

Winter cabbages have been traditionally used here in the Netherlands to make sauerkraut or “zuurkool” as we dutchies call it.
One thing I love to do in the winter is use my oven to roast seasonal vegetables.
You can go in almost any grocery store in The Netherlands and find a cake called “Ontbijtkoek”
